WHO WE ARE

Focused on empowerment as the foundation of progress

MAISHA is not just an organization; it is a movement built on faith in people’s own strength, dignity, and potential. In 2008, a small group of passionate young social activists in Bangladesh dared to dream differently. Its founders believed that lasting change comes not from charity alone, but from enabling communities to rise through knowledge, confidence, and participation. While many organizations focused narrowly on financial aid and micro-credit, they envisioned something deeper—true empowerment. From that vision, MAISHA was born.
