In 2008, young activists founded MAISHA to uplift disadvantaged communities. Many focused narrowly on micro‑credit, leaving deeper human needs unmet. True change requires empowerment built on people’s own strength and resources. Deprived people gain dignity, better livelihoods, and active roles in shaping their lives.
